HOUSING REHABILITATION: Freehold Borough’s Housing Rehabilitation Program is currently accepting applications from qualified homeowners or investor/owners of rental properties who wish to make improvements to their property in order to bring it up to Code compliance. Freehold Borough is accepting applications for a full-time Laborer.  This position includes an excellent benefit package – health benefits, sick days, vacation days & personal Days.   The position includes, but is not limited to, driving trucks, loading equipment, collection of rubbish  & other refuse, landscaping. snow removal, pothole repairs, street sweeping, water leak repairs, etc.  Please call the office of the Business Administrator at 732 462-4200 to request an application, or you may fax a resume to 732 409 1453.

SPRING CLEANUP 2017: There will be a Spring cleanup program conducted throughout the Borough during the month of April. Residents may place their limbs and brush at the curb for collection. Brush and limbs should be no longer than 4 ft. in length.

Curbside leaf collection will also take place during April. Leaves may be left loose at the curb, or they may be placed at the curb in clear, open plastic bags. Please note that brush and leaves must be in separate piles in order to prevent damaging the Borough equipment.

TICK IDENTIFICATION & TESTING PROGRAM: The Monmouth County Mosquito Commission currently provides tick identification and testing at their Tinton Falls location for County residents who have received a tick bite. The identification service is free, but there is a $25.00 fee for testing the tick for the organism which causes Lime disease. MOSQUITO CONTROL: In order to control the mosquito population in our area, the County will be conducting aerial spraying of pesticides on an “as needed” basis starting June 1 through November 30th. Residents may request that they be notified 12 hours prior to the scheduled application. Please log on to the County website at www.visitmonmoouth/mosquito.com for more information.
