He was awarded the medal in 1891. In 1957 the US Army handed the medal over to Dickinson College’s Archives & Special Departments. Local resident Muriel Smith was instrumental in returning the Medal of Honor to Glenn Cashion, a descendant of Thomas Fallon at a special ceremony at Borough Hall on February 4th.
